Book Club SIG | Braiding Sweetgrass, by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer (Sections 1-2) – Learning a New Way of Seeing
Please join us for an open discussion about books that can enhance our lives and careers. Formatted specifically to fit into busy lifestyles, this fall our PWCC Book Club will be reading “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants,” by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer.
Braiding Sweetgrass blends Indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and personal storytelling to explore our relationships with the natural world and one another. Through a collection of beautifully written essays, it invites readers to reflect on gratitude, reciprocity, community, and belonging – themes that offer meaningful connections to our personal and professional lives. Join us for a three-part discussion as we explore the ideas and insights this thought-provoking book has to offer.
In this virtual session we will discuss the first two sections of the book.
• Section 1: Planting Sweetgrass
• Section 2: Tending Sweetgrass
